The reasons behind why I choose to bring up my children bilingual was a bit of a selfish one.

I wanted them to understand all the silly kid songs and jokes from my youth.

I also longed for my children to be able to communicate with my family and my family to be able to communicate with them.

Being sick as an Expat

I wanted to write this blog post because I was just struck with the flu and I was feeling very miserable. Being sick as an Expat is never fun

I was left alone all for most of the day and my husbands’ usual response to this kind of situation (no joke) is to pat me on the back and say ‘hang in there’.

This is the level of care I get at home.
